TIPS - IDEAS - HOPE
Are you a goal getter? I too have some lofty goals, and hope that you’ll be able to watch them unfold as I continue this journey. I imagine that if you are trying to live into your purpose you are a fellow goal-getter! Because how else could you work toward something great if you didn’t have some goals to get you there? But it is important to know that to achieve lofty goals, often times it’s the *small* changes that make BIG progress.
This may go against what seems rational… however, can you think of a time when you’ve been so gung-ho to work towards something, that you tried to go as fast and as far as you could at once? Then the inevitable happened… burn out, frustration and an unaccomplished goal.
It’s almost impossible to create lasting change like that. And that’s really what goals are - a change in a particular area of your life, your work, your wellness… I know that when you set out to make a change, to reach a goal… you want to accomplish it, you want the change to stick, you want the result to be long-lived.
So know that one of the most important keys is this: *small hinges* swing BIG doors. Meaning small steps or small changes make big differences. I invite you to consider what small step you can take and commit to today to reach your goal? Then do it. And then another, and another… until the challenge of doing things differently becomes a new habit, and it’s simply just what you do!
